About and contact

We are based in Basseterre and we book excursions in St Kitts with local operators. You book at a price you can see on the page, we confirm the slot with the operator, and we tell you their name and a number when we confirm.

Why we built this

Because the prices on this island make no sense to a visitor, and nobody explains them.

The same catamaran to Nevis sells at US$99 at its own dock and from US$129.99 through a cruise line. The scenic railway, run by one company, retails between US$125 and US$155 across four different websites. A taxi fare for the full island route is capped by law at US$100 for a car of four, while an online agency sells a comparable tour at US$109 a head.

None of that is anyone being dishonest. It is what happens when a product passes through two or three middlemen before it reaches you. What it means in practice is that a visitor with an afternoon has no way of knowing what anything should cost.

So every page here carries the price, the real duration, what is included, what is not, and what the equivalent would cost you if you walked up and paid at the gate. Where the government sets a maximum fare, we print the schedule.

What we will tell you that other sites will not

Which excursions do not fit your port call. The volcano hike is six hours and it does not fit most calls, and we will say so rather than sell it to you.

What the entry fees are, separately from the tour price. Brimstone Hill is US$15 a head. Romney Manor is US$3. Wingfield Estate is free.

That the beaches have no lifeguards and no warning flags, because they do not, and because it changes how you plan a swim.

When we do not know something. There is one excursion on this site where the operator publishes no rate, and that page says so.

What we do not sell

The scenic railway. One company runs it, it publishes no direct price, and the cruise lines control the tickets. Buy that through your ship.

Contact

Use the form on any excursion page if you are booking, because it asks for the things we need and saves a round of emails.

For anything else, write to us and a person answers. We are in Basseterre, which is Atlantic Standard Time, four hours behind GMT and one ahead of New York in winter.
