You send a request, we confirm the slot with the operator, and then we send you a payment link. Nothing is charged until the excursion is confirmed, so you never pay for a slot that turns out not to exist.
Why you are not charged straight away
Most booking sites take your money first and sort the logistics afterwards. On a small island that goes wrong often enough to matter. There were 489 cruise calls scheduled into Basseterre between August 2026 and April 2027, with 101 of them in December, and four ship days are routine now. On those days the island runs out of boats and vehicles before it runs out of customers.
So we check first. If the slot is there, you pay. If it is not, we tell you what else is running on your date and you decide.
The four steps
You send the request. Date, how many adults and children, where to collect you, and your ship name if you are on one.
We confirm it with the operator. One working day at most, and usually the same day.
We send a payment link. It comes from Sticky Invoice and it carries the excursion, the date, the price and what is included, in writing.
You pay and it is booked. You get the pickup time, the meeting point and a phone number that a person answers on the day.
When do you need to pay?
Before the excursion, and the link says by when. For most bookings that is at least 48 hours ahead, because that is what the operators need.
A private boat charter is the exception. A deposit goes down at booking and the balance is due before the trip, because the whole boat is held for you from the moment you confirm.
What if you want to change or cancel?
Tell us as early as you can and we will move it if the operator has another date. There is no charge from us for moving a booking.
Cancellations depend on how close you are. Outside 48 hours you get the full amount back. Inside 48 hours it depends on whether the operator can refill the slot, and we will tell you straight away rather than leave you waiting.
If we cancel, for weather or for anything on our side, you get everything back. No fee, no credit note, no argument.
What if your ship is late or your call is cancelled?
Pickups are booked against the ship’s actual arrival, not its scheduled one. If you come in two hours late, the driver waits.
If the call is cancelled or your ship skips St Kitts, you pay nothing and anything already paid comes back in full. This is the most common thing that goes wrong on a cruise day and it is not your fault, so it does not cost you.
How do you pay?
By card, through the payment link. US dollars.
If you would rather pay cash on the day, say so and we will arrange it with the operator where they allow it. Some do and some do not, and we will tell you which before you commit.
The island’s cards and cash: the Eastern Caribbean dollar is pegged at EC$2.70 to US$1. US dollars are accepted everywhere. Change usually comes back in EC dollars, which is worth knowing before you hand over a US$100 note for a US$10 purchase.
Questions people ask
Do you add a booking fee?
Only on taxi transfers, where the fare itself is set by law and we charge US$15 per transfer to arrange and guarantee the car. Every other price on this site is the whole price for that excursion, with what is included listed on the page.
Are tips included?
No. Tips are appreciated here and not required. Ten to fifteen percent is normal for a driver or a guide.
Who actually runs the excursion?
A local operator, licensed and insured for what they do. We tell you who it is when we confirm, with their name and a number, so you are never getting into a vehicle not knowing whose it is.
What if I book and then the price on the page changes?
Your price is the price on the link we send you. It does not move after that.
Can you build something that is not on the site?
Yes. Tell us what you want to see and how long you have, and we will price it. Most of what we sell started as somebody’s request.
